A CANDLE LIGHT...

                                                                A CANDLE LIGHT

This candle, lord , reminds us that

You are the light of the world.

A light shining in the darkness of the

world, a light shining in our hearts.

May this candle be a light for you

to enlighten us in all our worries

and cares; in the hardships and

trials of life; in all that we do

today and every day.

May it also be a fire for you to

burn within us  as we show others

the love you have for your people.

May it be a flame for you to bring

warmth into our hearts towards all

for whom we care, all with

whom we live, those we work with

and those we meet.

May the flame of eternal life rest

within our hearts so that everyone

we meet see your light shining

upon them.

Help us to continue this, our prayer,

into everything we do each and every day.

O , Holy Spirit, descend upon us. Pour out your gifts upon us and strengthen us in faith.

Guide us with the hope for the kingdom of Heaven. Enkindle our hearts with the fire of

 divine love. Just as you led Saint Alphonsa along the path of sanctity. Grant us the grace

to grow in sanctity and wisdom, by serving you faithfully in humility and gentlness.

O  gentle St: Antony, by your holy and apostolic life, you led countless souls to the

love of our Divine Lord. I implore you , obtain for me and my loved ones His guidance,

you who have the power to lead straying sheep back to the fold of Christ, and to find articles

that are lost. On earth your heart was filled with compassion for those in distress or sorrow.

Please bring my request before the Child Jesus. Who loved to rest in your arms,

and I believe that  you will help me to remain always close to our Devine Lord.

O Miraculous Wonder Worker , in this hour of need obtain what I ask of you.
